I’ve been busy doing a lot of needle felting. It’s been fun to create little owls, teddy bears, and other types of animals to surprise my boys. I recently started making some Christmas ornaments for our tree and to give as Christmas gifts.
I especially love making needle felted Santas.
They will love so cute on the Christmas tree.
My ornaments are crafted from wool roving that I hand dyed using kool-aid. I discovered the process when I learned how expensive wool roving could be to purchase.
I love the colours!
This photo was taken back in October on a weekend outing. We climbed a mountain so to speak and were able to get on this train trestle to look around. I recently found this picture on my Canon camera. I really love seeing all of the details of the structure and think it’s very cool. Hope you enjoy.
It”s Remembrance Day weekend in Canada. We thank all of the veterans for what they have done for all of us. Thank-you.
Have a beautiful weekend.
It’s trick or treat time. Stay safe and have fun.
This weekend’s adventures in Nova Scotia brought us outside to enjoy fresh air and sun. It was a feast for the senses. Yay!!!
We traveled to Truro, Nova Scotia to do our exploring. All of our activities involved good old fashioned fun, all free of charge.
Some of the highlights were:
Climbing up the side of a large hill to check out a train trestle. Once at the top and on the tracks we started to cross the trestle. There were stairs on the other side, but as we were walking we thought we could hear a train in the distance and so we quickly doubled back to go back down the hill. It was a little scary but totally worth it. We did find a very cool nail from the railway. We are wondering if the tracks are still used today?
We also saw a very cool water tunnel that was below the train trestle. The tunnel was formed in sand stone and was decorated with graffiti. We wondered if it was formed by nature or created by man. We hope to check it out again in the summer with tubes to float down the river. Awesome!!!!
We also discovered many beautiful fields of red. The fields were blueberry fields and it was shocking to see how red the leaves had turned. I love Nova Scotia in Autumn. Don’t you?

I’ve been trying to find some yummy ways to use pumpkins. I discovered Good Life Eats blog on Pinterest and found a very yummy way to eat pumpkin.
Easy Pumpkin Pudding!!! I tried it and volia.
Cook Pumpkin in the microwave
Add all of the ingredients in blender
Add pumpkin spices
Enjoy a serving of delicious pumpkin pudding
I loved it! instead of using canned pumpkin I used a small pumpkin from the garden which I cooked in the microwave. I also substituted evaporated milk for Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk.
I love how easy it was to make just add everything in the blender.
Have a great Sunday,
Three Ladybugs Play
I had the opportunity to get out on my own to snap some shots on a frosty morning last weekend. We have been lucky here that It has been a beautiful long Autumn. Trees are starting to show bare branches and frost has begun to decorate flowers on occasion. A great time for nature pictures.

Ms. Mouse has a lot to be Thankful for this year ….
Without further adieu, meet Baby Mouse. Mama mouse’s pride and joy. He tends to get into a bit of trouble but loves a good nap under the stars.
Have a great Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating!
Our little mouse friend, seems very content. What a lovely place for a mouse to live.
We really need to find her a name.
We spent a little time in the woods today.
What a beautiful fall day for “finding” places for mice to hang out.
Our little friend loved Tree Hollow Inn. ♥♥♥
